Mocca is a gorgeous Presa Canario. Mocca is great with kids and other dogs. She is crate trained, housebroken, good on a leash, and rides nicely in a car. This sweet brindle girl is 5 years old, spayed and UTD. Her impressive size is a compliment to her gentle nature.

Mocca is a Katrina dog that found her way to what was to be her forever home. Times being what they are, she could no longer be cared for and came to the shelter signed off, which means she can be euthanized.

A staff person decided to save Mocca's life and took her home. Due to Mocca's intense interest in cats and goats, the staff person was forced to return Mocca to the shelter.

Just wanted to finally attach a few pics and let everyone know how we ended up acquiring this big ol' sweetheart.  I have been a dog person at heart forever, and fortunately for me, my family owns a business that we NEED a dog to be present at during normal business hours and then, She goes home with me! So I saw a win win all around with her.  I took my very dedicated friend / trainer with me looking at dogs and the only thing that interfered with me getting Mocha, was her age.  Being approx. 5 yrs old, i would easily get very attached and it would be tough in the end, but I am not one to think about the "end", i like to think about here and now, and she needed me!!  The Staff member at the shelter gave her best effort to save this dog, but just couldn't wreck the current situation with her existing animals.  Mocha has some serious prey drive!!   Anyway, seems as though she is doing quite well in her new home!  She does appear to have a torn ACL, but it is just something we try to deal with and try to keep her a little lean. She shows very little discomfort if we keep her weight right at 100lbs.   Grin

Glad to see she's doing well.   Grin Love the last pic. I'm sure she's a great visual deterrent for your business too.

DO a little research on a supplement called Liquid Health 5000 for the torn ACL. There are several people that swear by it for ACL repair. Of course, the best thing they say is enforced rest right after it happened, but maybe this can help her out from this point on.

Carla,
Thanks a ton for the reply! I will certainly look into the Liquid Health.  I would love to see her with a bit less discomfort in her leg! Since I adopted her, there is no telling when the ACL happened but I will definitely give it a try! She is doing very well!  A Big o'l Baby, she is!

Thanks again!
